About Me
I am Giulia Santacà, a licensed psychologist specialized in Developmental and Educational Psychology. After graduating from the University of Padua, I continued my professional training and practice in Canada—an experience that significantly enriched both my clinical and human approach, allowing me to work in multicultural and interdisciplinary settings with adolescents, adults, and families.
During my time in Canada, I completed an internship in Art Therapy and Clinical Counselling at Adler University and collaborated as a research assistant at the UBC Centre for Infant Cognition, focusing on cognitive and emotional development processes. This academic and clinical experience allowed me to integrate scientific research with professional practice in a rigorous and up-to-date manner.
As a Clinical Counsellor, I have gained years of experience supporting individuals facing emotional and relational challenges, managing anxiety, anger, and fear, as well as navigating personal, family, and work-related transitions. I have worked in interdisciplinary teams and led Art Therapy groups in diverse cultural contexts, developing skills in using expressive techniques as tools for awareness and emotional regulation.
My approach integrates clinical, educational, and research expertise, with particular attention to intercultural dimensions and respect for the uniqueness of each individual.
I offer psychological sessions in both Italian and English, providing professional support to clients from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

My Approach
Facing a change, a difficulty, or feeling the need for a listening space is part of the human experience. Psychological support offers a context based on trust, listening, and non-judgment, oriented toward fostering greater self-understanding and understanding of oneself in relation to others, as well as the ways each person faces different life stages. Sessions aim to improve psychological well-being and strengthen the sense of balance and centeredness in daily life.
The work is based on theoretical models and scientific evidence in developmental psychology, education, and clinical psychology, integrating different frameworks of reference.
Specialized Approach
The working framework integrates contributions from cognitive-behavioral psychology, with particular attention to understanding cognitive, emotional, and behavioral processes and the role of core beliefs. Psychoeducational models are also used to foster understanding of difficulties and development of emotional, relational, and adaptive skills. The intervention is always calibrated to the person’s specific needs, respecting the psychologist’s professional competencies.
Beyond words – expressive languages
When appropriate, psychological support may integrate elements inspired by Art Therapy and other expressive techniques, used as tools to facilitate emotional expression and personal reflection.
These tools can complement verbal conversation, particularly in work with children, adolescents, and in intercultural contexts, respecting shared goals.
Facing challenges together
The work pays attention to contextual and relational factors, cultural differences, and experiences related to international contexts and change.
Mindfulness and awareness elements are used as tools to support emotional regulation and stress management, fostering greater presence and awareness in daily life.
Psychological support interventions are preceded by an initial assessment of the request and developed through structured sessions monitored over time, in line with the psychologist’s professional competencies and respecting ethical principles.
